As winter approaches and the temperature starts to drop its time on again to update the ramblings on this site.

One of the benefits of moving to New York has been the live music scene. There are many fine performers based here that you can see regularly plus as steady stream of out of town artists that come through. We spend a lot of time at a The Living Room, Joe's Pub, The Fez and lately The Bitter End.

Its not 100% positive, some of my favorite artists don't get to NYC very often (if at all). Thus I haven't seen Iris Dement in awhile and Tish Hinojosa is an infrequent visitor.

Most disappointing election results. The only thing good to say is that this is George Bush's last term. See count down on the left.

July 5, 2004

Let's see if I can post my July 4th update after I write it, not like last year where I wrote the update and forgot to publish it on the website until the following February.

Another year down at age 56 and 28 years married to Susan. Life continues to be basically good but busy.

Summer is finally here but its not the blistering 90+ degrees but a decent low 80s with good breeze. Perfect stoop sitting weather. With my wireless connection I can take the laptop on the stoop and do almost anything I could if I were in the apartment. Now if I just got a new battery I wouldn't need to drag a long extention cord to the stoop.

Most interesting was the December trip to India for Jared & Seema's wedding. There is no way to fully describe the experience. Lots of people, a mixture of modern and ancient, poverty and wealth. More pictures to follow the ones already posted.

As always music and theater are the focus of non-working hours. We continue to see many of our favorite performers and some new ones. Taken lots of pictures but a little slow in getting them posted to the site. Check out the Photo Gallery to see what I do have posted and check back as I am trying to catch up with the backlog.

The Madeleine Peyroux website continues to grow. A major redesign has just been completed with the help of Martin Shori from Switzerland. The new design is a wonderful improvement compared to the old site. It really helps when you get someone who knows what they're doing. Thanks Martin!. The mailing list has doubled in the last year to 90+ and there is now a bulletin board also. This has certainly exceeded my expectations and I am very proud of this site and I believe it has helped Madeleine.

I now also have a site for Linda Ronstadt, my all time favorite singer. This came to me quite by accident but I couldn't pass it up.

Work as always continues. We successfully moved our complete infrastructure from NYC to our corporate data center. We only had about about two hours of down time with some small followup glitches.

We are now in the final stages of getting our last brand, Fashion Bug, setup of ecommerce. We should have it up by the end of this month.
