Systems Programmer

Responsible for all operating system and support functions.  System grew from one 360/40 supporting one hospital to two loosely coupled 360/40's supporting three hospitals. Progressively implemented  a new operating system, a full data base management package, and a data communications package during that growth. Heavily involved in design and implementation of a new billing, AR, and on-line inventory system. Provided both basic systems support and new and improved programming tools for the applications programmers.

Designed and wrote a terminal interface for this network to allow change from one terminal type to another without requiring any application program changes.
