Branch Systems Engineering Manager
First SE Manager in this branch. Sales territory included all of Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Responsible for systems engineering support for this office and two sales offices: Baltimore and Richmond. Managed 6 systems engineers.

Developed a team concept for the systems engineers which allowed smooth support activities even under a very heavy work load. Developed full support capability within the word processing and office automation products. This allowed the salespeople to sell the full range of Four-Phase products confidently, knowing the SE staff could give adequate support.

Major Accomplishments: Directed the SE efforts necessary to win major business with Reynolds Metals Co., Richmond, and Commercial Credit Corp., Baltimore.

System Engineer
Duties included pre-sales calls with salespeople, installation of software and training customers after installation.
Systems Leader
Promoted in six months. Position responsibilities included the supervision and coordination of six systems engineers.

Successfully coordinated the installation and training of a major nationwide contract for the Defense Logistics Agency.  Worked with a large number of people from both Four-Phase and DLA installing approximately 30 sites nationwide.

Major Accomplishments: Worked successfully with local marketing personnel and headquarters personnel in securing the then largest word processing contract in the history of the Federal Government. Responsible for coordinating the installation and implementation of the first sites.
