Project Lead Year 2000 Lab

December 1998 - Present

Responsible for creation of and coordinating use of the Year 2000 Test Lab for St. Luke's Y2K testing. St. Luke's is a leading hospital within the Texas Medical Center.

Responsibilities are:

    • Supervise three employees and two consultants
    • Coordinate scheduling and use of the lab with all other areas of Information Management to insure timely completion of St. Luke's Year 2000 software application testing
    • Supervise readiness testing of all infrastructure hardware and software, specifically:
      • Mainframe
      • RS/6000 servers with AIX operating system
      • Intel servers with NT and NetWare operating systems
      • Lan Infrastructure equipment

Major Accomplishments

    • Completed buildout of lab in four weeks
    • Completed installation of servers and network equipment in eight weeks.
    • Continued timely ongoing support of the Year 2000 effort

Current Projects

    • Develop Fiscal 2000 budget for the server support group
    • Coordinating redesign of the St. Luke's PC Common User Interface (CUI)
    • Coordinating effort to transform the Intranet Help Desk Site
    • Coordinating creation of an Intranet Technical Information Web for internal IM usage
    • Installation of Pegasus network measurement software
