Responsible for the operations of an IBM compatible mainframe and a small nationwide information network of 9 minicomputers. These mini computers, communicating with the Washington headquarters, provided office automation and local processing capability, in addition to the central data base retrieval and elementary electronic messaging, at 5 field office sites. 4 large mini computers provided office automation and data base retrieval at the home office in Washington.

Technical support responsibilities included all systems programming functions for the above network.

Managed 5 computer operators and 4 systems programmers.

Major Accomplishments: Brought a chaotic and unreliable computer center under control.
